Flag Day - Do you know the meaning of the Flag's colors?

June 13, 2014 - We celebrate Flag Day this week, along with our fellow Americans.  June 14 is the anniversary of the Flag Act passed by the Continental Congress: "Resolved, That the flag of the United States be made of thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new Constellation."

Each color on the flag has special meaning:  Red symbolizes Hardiness and Valor, White demonstrates Purity and Innocence, and Blue represents Vigilance, Perseverance and Justice.

Truth in Accounting (TIA) highlights these colors, and the principles they represent, in all our work.  We are vigilant in our efforts to expose accounting practices allowing all 50 states to hide debt from their citizens. We believe truthful accounting is essential for citizens to effectively participate in their government.  All but 5 states (NE, ND, SD, WI and WY) hide over $1 billion of debt from their citizens.  Look here to see hidden debt for these states  Hidden Retirement Debt - NE, ND, SD, WI and WY
