As pensions grow, state struggling to pay

 “As the state is struggling to pay pension costs and balance the budget, new statistics show that the top 10 retired state employees are all receiving more than $225,000 per year from the state. The statistics also show that, with cost-of-living increases ranging from 2.5 percent to 6 percent every year, the payments are speeding up at a steady pace, not only for the top 10 but for thousands of their recipients.”
