Connecticut comptroller predicts $128 million deficit for recently completed fiscal year; states financial future depends on federal action

By Christopher Keating, includes “… ‘It’s decision time,’ Lembo said. ‘Our state economy is showing signs of recovery from the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, but without a significant investment from the federal government, those gains may slip away, and Connecticut families and businesses will suffer.’ … A complete accounting of the fiscal year that ended June 30 will be completed in September.” (Note: It will be interesting to see what “deficit” Lembo is referring to, in light of that coming report.)
